The Caucasian community, elders, figures of authority and young
leaders in Moscow are working to prevent provocations or acts of
revenge after the events on Manezhnaya Square, the deputy head of the
Council for Nationalities of the Moscow department of the Congress of
Caucasian Peoples, Ahmed Azimov, said.
Ahmed Azimov commented on rumours about Caucasian youths planning
revenge at Kiev station on December 15. He said that there are
background manipulators behind the mass disorders. Azimov said that
the provocators are trying to ignite inter-ethnic tensions in other
cities as well.
Azimov urged young people to avoid rising to provocations and blind
actions, to stay within the law and start a dialogue with all social
and state organizations.
