The Russian Congress of Peoples of the Caucasus announced its
intention to ensure the safety of football fans coming to the Caucasus
from other regions, in particular from Moscow.
The head of the executive commitee of the Congress, Aliy Totorkulov
stressed that the teams should not be denied the support of their
fans. It is therefore necessary in close contact with the law
enforcement agencies, public and opinion leaders, to provide good
conditions for the fans to let them support their favourite clubs in
peace. However, according to Totorkulov one should clearly distinguish
between the true fans, and "marginal nationalists."
