Khloponin blames prosecution service for disorders in Moscow

Vice Premier Alexander Khloponin, the authorized presidential envoy to
the North Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), believes that the
prosecution service is responsible for the disorders in Moscow by
releasing the suspected murderers of the football fan, RIA Novosti
reports.

The fans and nationalists organized an unsanctioned protest on
Manezhnaya Square, which turned into disorders. There were
nationalistic slogans and attacks on people. The disorders were
augmented by the murder of a ‘Spartak’ football team fan, Yegor
Sviridov. A native of Kabardino-Balkaria is suspected of the murder.
The fans were enraged by the fact that five out of six detained
suspects were released.

Khloponin said at the Public Council on Tuesday that there is no
nationalistic factor involved in the conflict. He praised the police
for good work in restoring order.

The envoy said that both the murderers of the football fan and the
organizers of the disorders should face punishment.
