A strong earthquake shook south-eastern Iran on Monday evening, leaving at least seven people dead and hundreds injured.
The 6.5-magnitude earthquake destroyed several towns and villages in the province of Kerman. The epicenter was in the village of Fahraj near the town of Hossein Abad. The material damage is severe in both Kerman and neighbouring Sistan-Baluchestan province, the local governor told the Mehr news agency, Trend reports.
