11 out of 12 cases solved in Kushevskaya

The Russian Investigation Committee has solved 11 grave crimes and
exceptionally grave crimes in the Kushevskaya Cossack village in
Krasnodar Territory. The cases were reopened after the murders of 12
people, the head of the Investigation Committee department in
Krasnodar Territory Vitaly Tkachyov said, RIA Novosti reports.


The 12 stabbed bodies were found at a farmers house in Kushevskaya on
November 5. The assailants attempted to burn down the house. Media
report that the village was under criminal oppression for many years.


The main crimes are murders and attempts at murder. Tkachyov mentioned
the murder of Nikolay Tsapok, a former leader of an organized criminal
group in Kushevskaya. Vadim Palkin is suspected of murdering the
criminal leader. He is also suspected of killing the 12 people.


Tkachyov said that the murderers of the 12 are involved in almost all
the other cases. They include Vladimir Zaporozhets, Vyacheslav
Ryabtsev, Vladimir Alexeyev, Andrey Bykov, Vitaly Ivanov and Igor
Chernykh.


Sergey Tsapok, a brother of Nikolay, is also involved. He is suspected
to have headed the criminal group.


The case of murdered Violeta Klimova, who was found dead under a
bridge over the River Yeya in Kushevskaya, remains unsolved. A
polygraphologist is helping in the investigation.
