The number of unemployed people fell in Kabardino-Balkaria in the period from January to November by 60% compared to the same period in 2009, RIA Novosti reports.
The authorities of the republic are fulfilling programmes to create new work places, promote employment and organize additional social works. As a result, the number of registered unemployed people decreased.
In 2010, 24 employment agreements were signed for social work for 630 workers, who found themselves under threat of dismissal, and 18 unemployed citizens.
2,200 agreements were signed on running businesses. 204 disabled people, 227 single parents and parents with large families and 398 young people established their own businesses.
145 million rubles were spent on these programmes.
