Suspected murderers of Iranian nuclear physicist arrested

The Iranian police have arrested the criminal group suspected of
murdering an Iranian nuclear physicist, Massoud Ali Mohammadi, Reuters
reported on Monday, citing Iranian TV.

The terrorists are linked with the Israeli intelligence service
Mossad, the agency cites the TV.

The message also says that the intelligence services used a set of
European and non-European countries to organize the terrorist act.
Professor Mohammadi of Tehran University died near his home in Tehran
on 12 November 2010. The nuclear physicist was killed by a bomb
planted inside his car.

An official of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ramin
Mehmanparast, said that the investigation saw traces of the US and
Israeli intelligence services in the case. He said that such actions
will not stop the Iranian nuclear program.

The US State Department called such accusations absurd.

The USA and a set of Western countries accuse Iran of developing
nuclear arms on the back of its peaceful nuclear program. Tehran
denies the accusations, saying that the program is aimed at fulfilling
demands in electricity.

The UN Security Council passed the fourth resolution against Iran in
June 2010, due to Tehran’s refusal to fulfil its international
obligations and clarify issues related to its nuclear program,
including military aspects.
