The Eurasian Expert Forum has today completed its first meeting in Astana. The meeting decided to turn the forum into a permanent expert structure, the Trend Expert Council member, chief editor of the Russian news agency Vestnik Kavkaza and Deputy Dean of the Moscow State University History Department, Alexei Vlasov, told Trend.
"A working group was formed, which in three weeks will prepare a proposal addressed to the expert communities of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, and Israel," he said.
The Eurasian Expert Forum's working group includes Alexei Vlasov, director of the Center for Caucasian Studies at the Russian State University for the Humanities and Trend Expert Council member Ismail Agakishiyev, Trend News Agency Director-General Ilgar Huseynov and Director of the Kazakh Institute of the Parliamentary People's Democratic Party "Nur Otan", Bolat Baikadamov.
The forum discussed issues of systematizing the experience of state-building in post-Soviet space and conducted an analysis of integration processes in the CIS in the context of the new challenges
of the global economy, as well as trends shaping the national identity of the new generation of citizens who grew up during the years of independence in the Commonwealth.
