Attack on Dagestani Mosque is provocation - Mufti of North Caucasus

The chairman of the Coordination Council of North Caucasus Muslims,
Ismail Berdiev, described the shooting at people near a mosque, in
which one person died, as a "provocation". He called on Dagestani
citizens not to surrender to panic, reports RIA Novosti.
An unknown man opened fire on people going to mosque in the suburbs of
Makhachkala. One man was killed, another injured. The incident took
place around 13.00 Moscow Time at the mosque in the village of Tarki.
It was earlier reported that the imam of the mosque was killed in the
firefight, but this information was disproved later. The assailant
escaped from the crime site.
"This is a provocation. They want to put people into a panic, make
them afraid, but I wish our people to come together and not surrender
to panic," - Berdiev said.
