Russian police recently thwarted terrorist attacks in Moscow, Interior
Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev said on a visit to Pyatigorsk, RIA Novosti
reports.
Police uncovered explosive devices with timers, he said.
"If the extremists acts plans had been realised, these crimes would
have caused a great shock in society," he added.
The minister also said that the police and the FSB (Federal Security
Service) had prevented terrorist attacks ahead of May 9th Victory Day
celebrations in Dagestan and Chechnya.
