Militant shot dead in Dagestan

A participant in an illegal armed group has been shot dead during a
special forces operation in the suburbs of the town of Derbent in
Dagestan.
"Around midnight two unknown men opened fire on police officers after
they were asked for identification documents. One militant was shot
dead, the other escaped," - reports Interfax, citing sources in the
local police.
One of the militants was identified as Gugad Shahpazarov, a local
resident and participant in an illegal armed group. The night before
the gunfight with the police, the militants had attacked a squad car.
