At least five militants have been killed during a special operation carried out in the village of Kostek in Dagestan's Hasaviurt region. Four law-enforcement officers were injured and hospitalized, RIA Novosti reports.
The operation is continuing and comes after an incident in which four militants were killed earlier in the day.
