Unknown gunmen opened fire on a car in the center of the Dagestani capital Makhachkala this Wednesday, reports RIA Novosti. Two men were taken to hospital.
One of the victims of the incident was Magomedvagif Sultanmagomedov, head of the department of Muslim Education in the Spiritual Council of Dagestan. He was also head of the company "Makhachkala-TV" and "Nurul Irshad" (the Light of Truth).
According to the press-service of the Ministry of the Interior, he died while being operated on in hospital. The second victim is being operated on.
