Hunger strike in Georgian penal settlement

16 prisoners went on hunger strike today in the Ksanskaya jailhouse
N7, situated near Tbilisi, reports Trend. The prisoners claim that the
administration of the settlement oppress those who protest against
abusive treatment and who try to defend their rights. Several
prisoners were cruelly beaten, they claim. The "Solidarity with the
Illegally Imprisoned" organization wants the Georgian ombudsman Giorgy
Tugushi to investigate the case.
