Russia is ready to help Azerbaijan deal with the aftermath of recent
floods if Baku requests help, the Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan
Vladimir Dorokhin told journalists, Trend reports.
40 Azerbaijani regions suffered from floods after the Kura rRver broke
its banks. As a result, some 20,000 houses were partially or totally
submerged and over 300 totally destroyed. Farmland also suffered.
Kura water levels are continuing to rise, the Ministry of Ecology and
Natural Resources said.
