Intelligence services do not rule out that one of the gunmen blocked near the village Gubden in the Karabudahkents district of Dagestan is Anwar Sharipov, a brother of the suicide bomber blown up in the Moscow metro, reports RIA Novosti citing a high-ranking source in the law enforcement agencies of Dagestan. Perhaps he has been involved in the terrorist attacks.
The group of militants has been blocked by security forces in a wood to the south of the village Gubden on April 11. The exact number of the militants still remains unknown. Counter-terrorist operation regime has been declared in the district.
