Georgian Football Federation proposes creation of South Caucasian championship

The president of the Georgian Football Federation, Zviad Sichinava,
has announced the federation’s plans to create a joint tournament for
the South Caucasus, Georgia Online reports.

Sichinava stressed that the idea of this tournament, in which
Georgian, Armenian and Azerbaijani teams could compete, is supported
by UEFA.

Speaking about the forthcoming match between the  teams of Armenia and
Georgia, which is due to take place in Cyprus, Sichinava stressed that
the main thing in this meeting is to avoid injuries.
