The experts of the International Olympic Committee have noted significant progress in preparations for the Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014,
RIA Novosti reports.On March 21-23 the coordinating committee of the IOC, headed by the chairman Jean-Claude Killy and Gilbert Filley, held a series of meetings in Sochi at which the IOC representatives were given a full report on the preparation process.
Killy stated that construction is changing the region positively, due to new infrastructure. A bobsleigh track is to be built according to modern standards. The representatives of the IOC also liked the Sochi Olympic mascots.
The chairman spoke about the effectiveness of the compactness of the Games, as all facilities will be situated in one place.
