The Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) and 11 national Olympic committees (NOC) of the CIS, Baltics and Eastern Europe signed a memorandum on cooperation in Sochi on Thuesday, Yuga.ru reports.
The document was signed by Alexander Zhukov, Russian Vice-Premier and President of the ROC, and heads of the NOCs of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Latvia, Estonia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
The memorandum provides joint activities in holding competitions, exchange of coaches and advanced sports technologies.
Zhukov noted that the ROC has never stopped cooperating with the NOC of other states. The signing of the document will make cooperation more fruitful, he said.
