The Russian presidential envoy in the North Caucasus Federal District, Alexander Khloponin, has promised to do everything to ensure the safety of tourists by the time the first ski resorts start operating in 2014, RIA Novosti reports.
"The temporary situation in the Caucasus is not simple, but we do not pose the question that in 2012 it will work, if you look at the strategy, then in reality the resorts will be put into operation only in 2014-2015," Khloponin told a meeting with regional media on Thursday.
He promised to do everything in his power for people to be able to come and spend their vacations at these resorts.
