Portuguese Carlos Queiroz will coach the soccer team of Iran for 2014 Brazil World Cup, the state IRIB website reported on Monday.
Accompanied by his two assistants, former Portugal coach Carlos Queiroz arrived in Iran on Monday for final talks to coach the Iranian Team Melli (Iranian national soccer team) for the 2014 Brazil World Cup.
Later on Monday, Queiroz signed the contract in the office of Iran's Body Training Organisation Chief, Ali Saeedlou.
Queiroz said upon his arrival in Tehran that his goal is to help Iran qualify for the FIFA World Cup.
According to Press TV, Queiroz will lead the Iranian outfit for the next three years with an annual salary of about two million dollars.
