Alexander Zhukov to supervise training of Russian Olympic athletes

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has instructed the President of Olympic Committee of Russia, Vice Premier Alexander Zhukov, to take control of all matters relating to the organization of the training of the Russian athletes, RIA Novosti reports.

The Prime Minister noted that more than 6 billion rubles had been allocated in the federal budget to the preparation of the Russian team for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in 2011-2013.

Putin also said that the total budget of the games is estimated to be worth about 195 billion rubles. 75 billion will be allocated from the federal budget, while the remaining sum will be collected from investors.
