Russia may limit oil trading

Russia may introduce limitations on oil trading, in order to stabilize prices for oil products, Vice-Premier Igor Sechin told the government commission for the fuel and energy complex today, ITAR-TASS reports.

He highlighted problems from careless behaviour, the need for additional measures in logistics and the influence of other factors, such as the new economic situation on the world crude-material markets.

Sechin said that they have major complaints against suppliers of crude materials. Only 8 oil companies were participating in the bidding in Saint-Petersburg: Rosneft, Gazprom Neft, LUKOIL, THK BP, Surgutneftegaz, Bashneft, Rusneft and Alyans.
