Samara football club to be punished for hooliganism against Anzhi FC full-back Roberto Carlos

The 38-year old full-back of Anzhi, Roberto Carlos, says that the
football fan who threw a banana at him at a stadium in Samara on June
22 offended all Russian football, Russia-24 reports.


The incident happened as part of the 15th round of the championship,
at a match between Krylia Sovetov and Anzhi (0:3). Carlos hopes that
the Russian Federation, UEFA and FIFA will respond to the incident.


Heads of Anzhi FC said that they will have the football fan punished.
Roberto Carlos said that he will take part in the Anzhi vs. Krasnodar match.
The president of the Russian Football Union, Sergey Fursenko, promised
to find the football fan. It is not the first such incident. Similar
offenses were committed by a fan of Zenit FC in a match against Anzhi
in the 2nd round. The fan was fined 300 rubles.


The Krylia Sovetov football club has a video record of the incident.
The football fan has not been identified yet, press-attache of the
club Maksim Syestnov said.
