Today the XXXI World Championship of Rhythmic Gymnastics started in the French city of Montpellier.
On the first day of competition, gymnasts performed with a hoop and with a ball. Azerbaijani gymnasts Alia Garayeva, Anna Gurbanova and Zeinab Javadli performed with a hoop. As a result of the performance, Garayeva is the leader, Gurbanova is in seventh, while Javadli eighth.
15 vouchers for the 2012 Olympics will be given to the winners in the final round of the competition.
