Anapa is hosting the 9th sports games for the peoples of Russia's South at the federal center Smena on October 5, Yuga.ru reports.
Athletes will compete in 23 types of sports, including arm wrestling, boxing, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, belt wrestling, basketball, volleyball, cycling, judo, mini-football, track and weightlifting, table tennis, taekwondo, sambo, swimming and chess.
The games have been held since 1993. They have previously been held in Nalchik, Stavropol, Kislovodsk and Maikop.
