Bookmakers take bets on Armenia - Macedonia football match

Bookmakers have started taking bets on the Armenian team in the final matches of the Euro 2012 qualifying round, "News-Armenia" reports.

The world's bookmakers put the national team of Armenia as the clear favourite in the upcoming match against Macedonia.

The match against Macedonia is being held at the Republic Stadium in Yerevan on October 7 at 20:00 local time (19:00 GMT).

The bookmaker William Hill is giving odds of 7/10 for Armenia winning, 13/5 for a draw and 4/1 for a Macedonian victory.

The Armenian national football team is in third place in Group B of Euro 2012, with a realistic chance of reaching the finals of the tournament.

Armenia has scored 14 points, a point behind the second-placed Irish. Russia  leads the group with 17 points.

Slovakia also has 14 points, trailing Armenia on goal difference. Macedonia has 7 points in fifth place, followed by Andorra with none.
