Baku to host second media forum for Turkic-speaking states

Baku will host the second media forum for Turkic-speaking states on October 28-30, Chairman of the Council for the Press, Aftalun Amashov, said, 1news.az reports.


Over 300 delegates from 100 states will arrive for the meeting. This includes media officials from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Bulgaria and the Turkic republics of Russia - Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Altai Territory, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Tuva, Khakassia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (part of Ukraine) and Gagauzia.


The forum will open at the Kempinski Badamdar Hotel on October 28. Azerbaijan and Turkey will sign an inter-governmental deal on media cooperation.
