Russia and Azerbaijan both want to host the Youth Olympic Games in 2018, Russian Information Agency Dagestan reports.
According to the news agency, the Russian Olympic Committee applied to the International Committee, asking to hold the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in the Russian North Caucasian republic of Dagestan.
Azerbaijan is also interested in hosting the event, the news agency notes.
