Olympics: Another day of wrestling in London

 

Russian Alan Khugaev defeated Belarusian Alim Selimova in the first battle 

the Olympic tournament in Greco-Roman wrestling and went into the quarterfinals

(weight category to 84 kg).

In the battle for the semi-finals, the Russian will compete with the

winner of the bout between Hristo Marinov (Bulgaria) and Daniyal Hajiyev

(Kazakhstan).

In the same category to 84 kg, Georgian wrestler Vladimir Gegeshidze defeated Azerbaijani sportsman Tahmasib Samana.

In the weight category to 60 kg, Russian wrestler Zaur Kuramagomedov also

made it to the quarter-finals of the competition of the Olympic Games in

London. He defeated the Algerian Tarek Benaissa, winning both the

first and second rounds.

He will compete with the Georgian Revaz Lashkhi in the semi-finals.

In the same category, Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Hasan Aliyev

held and won his first match at the Olympics against the Norwegian

Stig André Berge.

In the quarter-finals he will meet with Korean wrestler Dzhihyun Joong.
