The first round of the Olympic Rhythmic Gymnastics tournament has ended, the Focus Information Agency reports.
Bulgaria's Silvia Miteva received 27,800 points for her routine with a ball. In Round 1 she received 27,700 points for her routine with a hoop. Her total result after Round 2 is 55,500 points and she ranks sixth.
Russian gymnast Daria Dmitrieva is the leader with 57,800 points and Evgenia Kanaeva, another Russian sportswoman, gathered 57,625 points and is second. Lyubov Charkashyna (Belarus) is third with 56,450 points.
On Friday, the gymnasts will perform with clubs and a ribbon, after which the finalists will be announced.
The finals are scheduled for Saturday, 11 August.
