Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov has decided to leave Terek FC and passed its presidency to Vice-Premier Magomed Daudov. Kadyrov explained that he lacks enough time to supervise the club, the press-service of the republic’s government says.
Kadyrov promised to keep the financing of Terek FC at the same level. He noted that the club failed to fulfil the targets set at the start of the season. The team was to enter the top 8 of the Russian Championship. After 32 rounds the club is in 11th position.
Kadyrov has been the president of Terek FC since 2004. The club managed to enter the Russian Premier League and played in the UEFA Cup in 2004-2005.
