Krasnodar Territory is earning 10 billion rubles from Sochi resorts preparing for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games, Governor of the region Alexander Tkachyov said, RIA Novosti reports.
The governor noted that the games are an opportunity to make a breakthrough in the economic development and sports of the region. He expressed confidence that the facilities built for the games would work for the local population. Tkachyov added that there are over 10 ski arenas, not to mention swimming pools and physical fitness complexes. Over 400 sports grounds have been built in the last three years.
