Emomali Rahmon’s son becomes president of Tajik Football Federation

Rustam Emomali has replaced Sukhrob Kasymov as the new president of the Tajik Football Federation, Trend reports.

Kasymov supervised the organization for the last 10 years. He congratulated Rustam Emomali on the appointment at the Hayatt Regency Hotel.

Kasymov became president of the Tajik Football Federation in 2002, formed on December 25, 1991. Mirzo Mamajanov was the first president of the federation. Rustam Emomali is the older son of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon. He graduated at the Tajik National University. He is married with a daughter.

He is supervising the department for control of smuggling and violations of Customs Rights. He worked at the State Committee for Investments and Property as head of the department for development of small and medium-scale business. He also plays for Istiklol FC.
