Moldavia to build sports complex named after Heydar Aliyev

Moldavia will start construction of a sports complex named after Heydar Aliyev in April, financed by Azerbaijani investors. The facility will take up 16 hectares. It will have a football stadium, an arena for athletics, tennis courts, a swimming pool and a hotel, Moldavian media report.

The land lot for construction has not been shifted from agricultural property, which is the reason for dragging of the process, an executive of Gagauzia Mikhail Formuzal said.

Azerbaijan agreed to finance construction after the visit of Gagauzia head to Baku and his meeting Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
