Jacques Rogge visits Olympic construction in Sochi

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has met with the head of the
Olympic Committee Jacques Rogge in Sochi. Before the meeting, Rogge
made a symbolical contribution to the construction of the Olympic ice
rink, Interfax reports.
A committee spokesperson noted "the ice rink consists of temporary
structures and can be easily transported to any other region as a
symbol and heritage of the 2014 Winter Olympics".
Rogge expressed confidence that the high level of Russian government
involvement in the Olympic construction would reduce financial risks
despite the global financial crisis.
