Tomorrow Azerbaijan will submit its bid book to the Olympic Committee - 2020

The deadline for the submission of the bid book to the OIC for the Summer Olympic Games – 2020 is February 15. To date, out of six bidders only Doha has submitted its bid book. "The Baku-2020" bid book will be presented to the IOC tomorrow in Lausanne (Switzerland) at 14:00 local time, APA reports. "It is wrong to give prognostics about our chances for victory in the struggle for the Summer Olympics and Paralympics 2020, but I can say that we have a chance. I believe in it," Kenul Nurullayeva, executive director of the Organizing Committee of "Baku-2020" said.

Nurullayeva noted that the bid book will be presented by the Azerbaijani delegation, which includes the Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov, executive director Kenul Nurullayeva, Head of the Organizing Committee of Baku-2020 on Communications, General Secretary of AFFA Elkhan Mammadov, the double Paralympic champion Ilham Zakiyev, Olympic champion Zemfira Meftaddinova and other officials. The Executive Director recalled that Baku fought to host the Olympic Games in 2016, and stressed that this time the bid book is more comprehensive.
