Olympic Live Sites to be formed in major Russian cities

 

The Organization Committee Sochi-2014 has announced organization of Live Sites in major Russian cities, Yuga.ru reports.

The sites will be set up at city centers with screens, sound, light and scene. Up to 30 million people are expected to visit the sites, or every family.

Krasnodar and Sochi are some of the first cities to join the program.

Live Sites were first set in Sydney in 2000, initiated by the International Olympic Committee. They were then organized in Salt Lake City, Turin and Beijing.

Dmitry Chernyshenko, President of the Sochi-2014 Organization Committee, expressed confidence that energy of tens of thousands of viewers would reach athletes and help them set new world records.
