The Armenian government will give 20 million drams to champions of the Olympic Games in London, winners of silver medals will get 15 million drams, bronze medals 10 million, as stated by Grachya Rostomyan, Armenian Minister for Sports and Chief Secretary of the Armenian Olympic Committee, NEWS.am reports.
The Olympic Committee of Armenia will double the rewards, making 40, 30 and 20 million drams respectively. Coaches will receive 50%of their athletes’ rewards. Teams’ doctors and psychologists will receive the same rewards.
Rostomyan reminded that Gagik Tsarukyan will fulfill his promise made at the Olympic Games in Beijing and give $1 million to winners of gold medals.
London will host the Olympic Games on July 27. Armenia will send 25 athletes to the games.
