The president of Georgia will attend the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in London on July 27. Mikheil Saakashvili announced the news on Monday at a meeting with Georgian athletes, Trend reports.
At the 30 minute-long meeting Saakashvili wished members of the national team success in the Olympic Games in London and promised them serious material awards for medals gained.
He said that “the biggest prize sum in the world” will be given for a gold medal (according to unofficial sources, it is $1 million).
