Georgia denies Olympic prize money reports

The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia denied reports
about an award of $ 1.2 million for gold medalists at
the Olympic Games in London, News-Georgia reports.

Earlier this week several media resources released information that
the Ministry of Sports has appointed an award worth $ 1.2 million for
the future winners of the summer Olympics.

However, the Ministry noted that the Georgian government will provide
certain incentive cash awards for the Georgian athletes who will
appear in the finals of the Olympics.
