Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has founded the new Olympic stadium in Batumi, Trend reports.
The new stadium will hold 35,000 spectators, designed by Georgian architect David Gogichaishvili. Saakashvili expressed hope that European and world championships would be held at the stadium. It will also improve infrastructure of the city.
The stadium will be built by the company constructing the Batumi Technical University.
