Valery Gazzayev, head of the organization committee of the CIS football championship says that the competition will meet requirements of UEFA Fair Play, topical for Russia, Ukraine and European states. He believes that income of clubs will increase and sales of broadcasting rights will cover 30-50% of their annual budget.
He noted that invitations to organize such championship were sent to football federations of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and other countries.
Gazzayev believes that the championship should be held within the framework of two professional leagues with 8-9 teams in each side, depending on the outcome of national championships of 2013/2014.
