Organizing committee of first European games in Baku to he headed by Mehriban Aliyeva

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has signed a decree on the
line-up of the Organizing Committee of the first European Games in
Baku, which will take place in 2015. The President of the Heydar
Aliyev Foundation, Member of the Executive Committee of the National
Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mekhriban
Aliyeva has been appointed the head of the organizing committee.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports and the City of Baku together with
the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan will provide the
committee with a plan for the European Games.
