Investors are buying snow-making machines for the Olympic Games Sochi will host in 2014, Interfax reports.
Alexander Frolov, head of the Russian Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring Agency, said that a steady snow layer can be found at a height of 1100 meters. Some tracks run through a height of 900 meters and will need additional snow.
The specialist noted that artificial snow has better sliding features and is better than real snow.
