Moscow will host the presidential horse races at the Central Hippodrome, attended by leaders and ministers of CIS states.
The first prize is worth 10 million rubles. 12 horses aged over 4 will compete, a maximum of one per Russian region. The winner will get one of the works of sculptor Yevgeny Lancer.
The presidential prize was set by the Agriculture Ministry in 2004. The president ordered the prize to become annual on January 29, 2005.
