The Russian triumph at the Universiade in Kazakhstan was further demonstrated today by the athletes in weightlifting and wrestling.
A native of Chechnya, weightlifter Apti Auhadiev, whose latest achievement is the victory at the European Championships in the weight category up to 85 kg, took the gold medal at the Universiade in the same weight, when he lifted 372 kg in two exercises.
In freestyle wrestling, two athletes from Dagestan showed the best results - Nariman Israpilov in the weight group up to 55 kg, and Magomed Kurbanaliev in the weight group up to 66 kg.
