Twice Olympic Champion Ilgar Mamedov, coach of the Russian national team, noted satisfaction with the achievements. He said that the team lacked five-time Champion Sofia Velikaya, twice Olympic Champion Tatyana Logunova and Olympic Champion Aida Shanayeva.
