A row has erupted at World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Kiev: a few months before the Championships the International Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation suspended from duties the entire technical committee of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation and several dozen judges.
The Ministry of Sport of Russia is following the situation at the Championships in Kiev, the deputy head of the department, Pavel Kolobkov stated. “The question is very delicate. The situation is really uneasy. Not only Russian judges, but also judges from other countries were suspended from work,” RIA Novosti cites him.
However, the absence of Russian judges didn’t prevent Russian gymnasts Margarita Mamun and Yana Kudryavtseva from taking gold and silver medals in ball and the third and fourth places in hoop.
