President of the Russian football fans association Alexander Shprygin condemns those who tried to burn the Chechen flag during the recent Zenit-Terek game in St. Petersburg.
As a result of the incident, Zenit FC had to pay a 500 thousand-rouble fine and the Petrovsky stadium was almost shut down.
Alexander Shprygin believes that there is no excuse for such an act and stresses that all football associations condemn this offence.
"Those who are responsible for this act have been detained. They will be punished. Zenit FC will be punished as well. I hope that such incidents will not happen in future," he said.
